I’m a Brussels-based blogger, EU affairs writer and history aficionado.
I’ve been a journalist for the multinational EU policy news site EurActiv, writing on numerous areas from European web and telecom regulation to the Polish presidency of the EU.
I am currently a blogger and Regional Editor for Western Europe of Future Challenges, a site on long-term trends sponsored by the Bertelsmann Stiftung. I am also a co-editor of bloggingportal.eu, an EU blog aggregator (I highly recommend its “editor’s choice” feed of best posts from the euroblogosphere).
I was raised in France by Anglo-American parents. I studied history and politics at the University of Liverpool and the London School of Economics, graduating from both with distinction. Before entering journalism I had stints working in the U.S. Congress for Representative Rob Andrews (D-NJ) and in the European Parliament for French MEP Corinne Lepage (environmentalist/centrist).
I speak English, French, Spanish and Italian (in that order) and I love to meet people in person and on the Net. Don’t hesitate to contact me to discuss potential collaboration with your projects or to write for your publication. You can reach me at craigjwilly[at]gmail[dot]com.
